List of all adult Playstation 2 (PS2) video games
Popular video gaming consoles and adult content most often don't go hand in hand. However, that doesn't mean there aren't any erotic or adult video games released on Sony's beloved gaming console - the Playstation 2. Nintendo hates everything that's not family-friendly, but luckily for us, we still got Sony to provide us with some on-screen nudity, right?
The release of Sony’s PlayStation 2 revolutionized the gaming scene across the globe. If you thought the PSX was epic, the follow up turned out to be even more impressive, especially in terms of high resolution graphics and visuals. Thanks to the PS2, we were able to experience numerous fantastic and legendary titles, genres, and stories, keeping us engaged and playing for many years to come.
A look at all the NSFW games released on the Playstation 2
That being said, a genre that many believe did not exist for the PS2, or more likely on video gaming consoles in general, are erotic games aimed at an adult audience. The games released under this category either went under the radar, got censored, or got banned because of the (what is considered by some people as) controversial content. Yes, just like Nintendo, Sony likes to censor their gaming titles as well.
While the naughty titles listed in this article were not the very first games to include adult content, let's face it, who doesn't remember the infamous pixelated cowboy penis from the classic Custer's Revenge (1982) for the Atari 2600? So again, these Playstation 2 adult games were definitely not the first of its kind, but there are still a few interesting titles amongst them.
Let's take off our clothes and hop onto our BMX with our bare naked butt, because we're about to kick things off with the earliest PS2 title on today's list - BMX XXX (from 2002). You know what that means, right? Boobs on a bicycle!
BMX XXX (2002)
If you are an old-school gamer, you have likely heard of this title. Released in the early 2000s, BMX XXX is an extreme sports video game, but with a twist — mature content aka nudity! Well, kinda. Because the PS2 release of the game was heavily edited, removing all topless characters from the game.
So in case you've wanted to watch some boobies while playing BMX XXX, you'd might be better of grabbing the uncensored (Sega) Gamecube or PC version instead.
The gameplay is very reminiscent of classic titles like Tony Hawk Pro Skater; ride a bike, do stunts, tricks, and chain some combos to get high scores.
Additionally, the game allowed the player to stroll around the city and interact with different characters. Going from helping a constipated construction worker to hearing out a missionary state his fetish, the game was quite the oddball. Add a bunch of hot (nude) juicy melons on top of that, and you've got yourself some early 2000 video gaming gold!
Besides the nudity during the actual gameplay, BMX XXX also rewards the player with hot and spicy cut-scenes, featuring some real fine busty strippers, which are all showing off their own "special tricks" as well (in FMV live action video footage).
Sadly, owners of the Playstation 2 version only got treated on lewds, as the topless video content was heavily censored, unlike all the other console versions of the game.
Overall, the reception of the game was decent, to say the least. Despite its lacking elements, BMX XXX garnered the attention of gamers across the globe. Sex sells, right? Well, here's proof for ya. Since concrete numbers are not available, a rough estimate states sales of close to 200,000 copies.
Now compare that number to Tony Hawk Pro Skater, which sold 1,300,029 in the year 2000 alone. The sequel sold even more copies that same year (1,553,269). But then again, 200 thousand sold copies of a video game that's basically a smutty rip-off of the Tony Hawk franchise, isn't actually that bad at all.
The Guy Game (2004 - Banned)
The Guy Game became quite a controversial video game, and we'll get to that in a second. With a release date of 2004, Topheavy Studios presented their own take on the adult-game genre in the shape of a trivia (quiz) based video game. Man, as if the South Park game "Chef's Luv Shack" from 1999 wasn't horrible enough already...
Well, it gets even worse this time around. But at least there's a lot more boobies to enjoy.
The Guy Game is a quiz-style puzzle game where the player takes on the role as host Matt Sadler. Matt is partying at the beach during Spring Break with his microphone in hand, ready to ask some beautiful (and half wasted) bikini amateur cuties a bunch of questions. If the player can guess if the answers by these chicks are incorrect, "they" will flash their boobies on your TV screen. Now that sounds like quite the reward to me!
Sounds familiar? For those that watched any of the VHS tapes from the Girls Gone Wild series from back in the day, are likely to recognize the concept of wild Spring Break amateurs flashing and exposing their breasts on camera. While no longer being the most original concept in the year 2004, this was the first time it was done in a video game format.
The Guy Game offers several gameplay modes for the player to choose from. For instance, the "TitWitz mode" provides the player with several answers, forcing the player to pick the wrong answers. Basically, having to guess how the bikini babe(s) in front of the camera lens would likely reply to the question. Doing so increases the Flash-O-Meter gauge, and as a result - the player gets treated to some live action footage of girls stripping off their bikini... Woohoo!
There are also other game options such as the "Hottie Challenge", in which we'll get to watch a couple of beach girls being contestants in some random party games, ranging from a hula hoop challenge, a sack race, jumping rope, and you've guessed it, once again it's up to the player to predict which bikini girl will end up winning the contest.
The Guy Game received countless negative reviews and was off to a rough start. But things got far worse, eventually even causing the game to be pulled back and banned entirely.
The reason for the ban? After only a few months of its release in 2004, one of the girls that was featured topless on camera even filed a lawsuit against the studio because of the fact that during the time of recording (of the beach video footage) for the game, she was only 17 years of age, and thus, she turned out to be underage.
Want more info on this entire controversy and lawsuit? The creators of the game also released a DVD entitled "The Game Guy: Game Over", which covers the entire background story. And yes, after the lawsuit, it really was "Game Over" for the developers of this smutty Playstation game.
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (2004)
Magna Cum Laude was the first title with a different style of gameplay and the first to switch from the classic 2D point and click style to featuring 3D gameplay instead. This seventh installment in the classic Leisure Suit Larry adult game series, is also the only game with no involvement of Al Lowe, the series original creator. Which is most likely also the reason this one is one of the most hated games in the franchise (amongst the die-hard fans).
Magna Cum Laude was developed by High Voltage Software and got officially released in 2004.
This Leisure Suit Larry title brings forth a new character, Larry Lovage (his uncle Larry Laffer was the original star of the series). With a college setting, the player is allowed to freely explore the campus, interact with women, and play mini games. The mini games are accessible by conversing with different people and objects.
Those mini games range from a sperm having to dodge objects including alcohol and titties, there's also a strip poker competition, a bare naked trampoline jumping contest, a mini game in which you'll need to aim and shoot with your water-gun at horny girls which are running around completely naked in the backyard, and plenty more entertainment for adults.
Besides the mini games, there are a handful of sex scenes to enjoy as well. The game even features a guy masturbating while peeping through his window. Now this doesn't actually sound like your typical or the average Playstation game, now doesn't it?
Magna Cum Laude comes with a simple plot: Protagonist Larry Lovage has the goal of getting on a dating show named “Swingles”. However, the hostess does not allow the character to join the show until he presents tokens of affection. Thus begins the adventure of Larry Lovage to obtain the tokens from girls across his college campus.
The game is considered an adult game because of the sexual content and bad adult jokes, however, some censored versions of the game don't actually feature any on-screen breasts or nudity. If you were one of those poor bastards that owned a censored release back in the day, maybe it's time to give this classic 2004 video game a little spicy "upgrade" by getting the UK version (or the PC releases) and finally find out what you've been missing out on all those years.
To be honest, not really that much exciting stuff. ;)
Playboy – The Mansion (2005)
Ready for some sexy lingerie bunnies? And no, I'm not talking about watching any of the episodes of the reality TV series; The Girls Next Door (aka The Girls of the Playboy Mansion). Nah, I'm talking about watching some bunnies in Playboy's very own official adult video game!
The Mansion was developed by Cyberlore Studios and got released on January 2005, only a few months before the first episode of Playboy's reality TV show aired in August of that same year. This simulative video game allows you to play as the almighty God the legend himself - Hugh freakin' Hefner, the famous owner and founder of Playboy Enterprises.
The core concept of the game is to create the famed Playboy Enterprise from scratch and to turn the Playboy Magazine into the big success it reached just like in "the real world". I don't know about you, but that sounds like quite an interesting gameplay to me. Who's down with playing another adult business simulator game, only this time for the PS2?
Start your journey by selling magazines to becoming a major player in the "fashion" industry. Moreover, the gameplay allows you to mold the Playboy Mansion to your liking. You can also interact with multiple characters and initiate a relationship of your choice — business, romance, or casual.
As seen in real life, you will be required to print an issue of the playboy magazine every month. Therefore, you will be hiring different characters for different roles, as well as interacting with various in-game celebrities. The game also adds diversity to its characters, making it feel more immersive when trying to strengthen your relationships.
Additionally, you will also be tasked with the job of photographing the photoshoots. Now it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it, right? Arguably the most "interesting" part of this naughty Playstation 2 release.
Regardless of the intriguing game design, the game received mixed reviews, with an average score of 60%. Many reviewers noted the similarities with The Sims games, except Playboy turning out to be the less enjoyable one of the two. But I guess that kinda depends on what the player prefers, right?
Personally, I don't mind watching a couple of sweet and sexy half naked Playboy bunnies hopping around on my TV screen while I'm gaming! Oh well...
7 Sins (2005)
Years before there was this whole 50 Shades of Grey hype, in 2005 we had to do "it" with this spicy Playstation 2 game called; 7 Sins.
Another life-simulation (and dating sim) based video game is 7 Sins, released in 2005 by Studio Monte Cristo. The game allows you to interact with different characters, with the objective of gaining their confidence and eventually ending up in their panties, or better - ending up having wild sex in your BDSM basement.
Since each female character has a distinct personality, each interaction can affect you differently. The effects range from stress, rage, depression, and lust. And with different personalities, also comes all sorts of different personal sexual preferences. Some of the female characters prefer a bit more rough action over tender sex, but that's up to you (as the player) to find out.
Nevertheless, there are different ways of controlling these emotions, all relating to the seven deadly sins. To unstress and relax, you can indulge in different practices such as unleashing your wrath, or lust. Moreover, the game also offers multiple mini games that you may unlock through certain actions.
On paper, 7 Sins may seem similar to other games. However, bearing in mind the diverse characters and game mechanics, 7 Sins provides an interesting, immersive and quite unique gameplay experience. Back then, we simply hadn't seen anything like this game before and it had a lot of sex in it, so we were already satisfied anyway.
Haru No Ashioto (2006)
The last title on today's list is also the very first title on this list that's in the visual novel genre. While Originally released for Windows PC, Haru no Ashioto (translates to: Footstep Of Spring) also got an official PlayStation 2 port.
Sadly, this game is available in two editions, an adult NSFW and a SFW version, and you can probably guess which version of the game is available for PC only... That's right, Sony did some censoring again by cutting out all the spicy scenes entirely. And well, you can also probably guess which version we prefer most. ;)
The game concept is similar to the average Japanese visual novel and RPG experience. It is heavily story-based, revolving around the main character Tatsuki Sakurano.
The story begins with a heartbroken Tatsuki, traveling back to his hometown after a breakup with his girlfriend. Upon arrival, Tatsuki takes the position of a social studies teacher at the local high-school. As mentioned before, the visual novelesque concept directs the game towards a story of growth and falling in love.
Furthermore, the game presents two distinct gameplay modes: the average mode alongside the omakase mode. The regular mode provides an interesting experience with choices that can drastically affect the story, while omakase allows the player to access a more linear, movie-like experience.
And that's it for today's list of naughty NSFW PS2 games. Sony did censor quite a few of these games listed above, so in most cases, you'll be better of getting the PC version or the Xbox versions (even Gamecube in some cases) just to be sure you'll get to enjoy the "full package". Or in other words - to make sure you'll get to enjoy all the available eye candy and female skin while playing these classics.
So, did you guys (or women, for that matter) play any of these games back in the day?
